Heya!! I'm Star, an artist specializing in character design and creature artwork. I have been creating digital artwork since 2015 and have been taking commissions since 2016.I aim to provide detailed artwork that is accurate to your specifications, and a friendly, communicative service. What to expect for your order;
I will PM you on the website you provide if I accept your inquiry, and send an invoice to the email provided. I expect payment within 48 hours.
Once you pay, I will send a sketch/rough draft for review before I finalize artwork. I only continue drawing after your approval. Once I send the complete artwork, you can ask for minor changes or corrections to any errors I have made.
You may ask for progress updates on your commission whenever you like, within reason.
I keep the original file every commission I draw. You can request a different copy of the art (transparent background, no shading...) at any time. Just ask!
My rights;
Payment must be sent upfront, via invoice.
I offer refunds based on how much of your artwork has been completed. See my refund policy.
You will recieve a digital copy of the artwork only. An unwatermarked version of the art can be sent on request. See my reposting policy.
I reserve the right to refuse or cancel a commission, and change my prices as I see fit.
I reserve the right to use your finished commission for my personal portfolio or post it online.
I do not accept deadlines for my commissions. I prioritize quality and attention to detail over quick turnaround. If a commission is taking longer than expected, you may ask for an update at any time.
Refund and Pricing policy
If I cancel a commission, I will send you a full or partial refund based on completion progress.
If I have not started a commission that I have cancelled, you will recieve a full refund. If I have started the commission, I will keep a percentage of the payment per each stage completed (25% at sketch, 50% at lined, 75% at colored).
You will receive the incomplete artwork.
You will be blacklisted from future commissions if you attempt to file a chargeback. Please communicate with me if there was an error or if you have any concerns. I'm happy to help resolve any potential misunderstandings.
My prices may fluctuate. I reserve the right to change prices as I wish. You are not entitled for compensation if I lower the price of a piece you bought beforehand, nor are you obligated to compensate me if I raise prices after you have made a payment. The listing at the time of me opening slots is what you will be expected to pay.
Repost policy, usage rights
You may repost your commisson online, however my watermark must be present unless the image is significantly sized down (i.e. for use as an icon). Please credit me elsewhere if this is the case.
You may use your commission as you like for personal use (phone background, printing on a sticker/canvas, etc).
You may not profit off of my artwork in any way (selling merchandise with my art on it, etc).
You may not, under any circumstances, to use any part of your commissioned work for non-fungible tokens (NFTs), or the advertising of NFTs.
You may rehome a character I have made for you (gift/trade). Please resell it at no more than its value (what you spent to commission it + any artwork attached).
You may redesign a character that I have made for you as you see fit.
I retain the rights to use my artwork as I see fit.
Prices and Examples
Be prepared for prices increase due to character complexity, starting at $10 if applicable.

Simple lines with a sketch brush.
Flat color by default.

Reference Sheet
A reference sheet of a pre-existing character. Includes a front view headshot.
Extra artwork (body part ref, alternate design(s), outfits...) may be added at cost.A "double-sided" refsheet costs more if the character has many asymmetrical features.
(For quadrupeds, this is their left and right side- for anthros, their front and backside, or their front and an alternate look/outfit.)

Trading Card
A dynamic illustration of your character, on my tgc base. Half-art and minimally shaded by default. Comes with a simple backdrop.The card's stats can be to your specifications, or left to interpretation by myself. Up to you!
Before finalization, you will recieve 3 thumbnail sketches to choose from with different poses.An image with the just the art (no card) can be sent at client's request upon completion.Please see "more examples" for details.

A cute sticker design. Lined in a crayon-style brush. Proportions are made more childlike. Complex characters may be simplified.

Custom Designs
Custom Design
A brand-new character design.
Single-sided and lined by default.A first draft will be sent to you for revisions and finalization. This draft won't be as detailed as the final piece and just serves as a visual to help us narrow down the design.Ordering a double-sided custom either:
a) make their markings asymmetrical
b) give them an alternate palette
c) give them an outfit (if applicable)Please give me inspiration (moodboards, animals, themes, palettes...) to base the design off of. You can leave me as much or as little creative freedom as you like, though it certainly helps if you have something in mind!

Redesign
A redesign of a pre-existing character.

Customizable details include:
Card color and/or background texture (can be glittery, crystalline, holographic, space, water, etc.)
The brief character description/title that goes under the art section
Ability and attack names, their descriptions, their damage stat, and HP stat
Elemental icons; character and/or attack type, resistances, weaknesses (not limited to one per any category. Feel free to be creative with the element concept, all that matters is that I can get the idea across as a small icon)
The amount of details left to my creative interpretation is up to you. However, some details on your character (personality, powers, etc) help me come up with more accurate and creative ideas!It's not hard for me to change details on the card itself, so if something I've come up with doesn't fit your vision, we can always make changes after the fact.
